Banded Peak Challenge

John Lajeunesse feels a strong sense of connection and responsibility for his community. When he is not running his excavation company, he is an avid mountaineer and rock climber.  John combined these passions when he founded the annual Banded Peak Challenge – a challenge hike in the Kananaskis area benefiting the Easters Seals Camp Horizon. Camp Horizon provides children and adults with disabilities and special needs life-changing outdoor experiences. Each year, John helps organize this great event, which draws participants from all over the Calgary area.

John’s excavation crew are often among the enthusiastic participants or volunteers, dedicating time and energy to fundraising and enduring the mountain bike and hike to the summit of Banded Peak.
